No longer are we shying away from these conversations; we’re actively de-stigmatizing mental illnesses, paving the way for more open dialogue and support. In some cultures, the term “therapist” is even worn as a badge of status. Herein begs a unique paradigm. Why in some cultures, do we view “therapy” as status, and in others, as “stigma”?
